i have shifted!!
my new home.

back from softball camp. it was indeed gruelling. it was practically non stop physical activity and i felt i'd pushed myself to the max. especially in the long walk from NJ (in bukit timah) to kallang, and the dragon boating. hah. it was a period of new discovery and team bonding. theres something inspirational in the entire girls team plunging their oars into the water in unison. but whatever emotional gratification i garnered was quickly marred by my aching arms. hell. even my neck ached! riight. and the instructor (canoeist from nj) said "pain is nothing." "heart and soul". i guess it'd have been encouraging if i was the one counting and watching out for those flimsy plastic boats.

we rowed under the shears bridge. it was magnificent. the bridge boldly arching over you, a concrete mammoth. echoes that bounced off the pillars as we tentatively tried calling each other. hahha.

my teammates tried this leaning over thing, where you sit on the edge of the boat, hook your ankles together and lean back into the water. but they all splashed in. and elsa couldn't climb in the boat, so the canoeist had to pull her in. it was a sight to behold, legs sticking everywhere as elsa and christina tumbled headfirst into the boat.
sadly i was in the wrong attire.

today i satisfied my craving for green curry! bin went with me and he had yellow curry. two steaming bowls of thai chicken curry alongside one another, yet so disparate. one yellow and the other green. it was a picture perfect moment, but neither of us own a digital camera. which brings to mind thats one thing i've started shopping for some time later this year but have not found the perfect one yet.

some of your newfound free time should be spent on your old friends.

i started thai lesson today!! (:
i can count from 1 to infinity confidently now!
but other than that..hah. wonder how we're going to cope when we get there. the way thais form their senteces is really weird. their noun goes before the adjective. so "this" or "that" would only appear after the noun and adjective. confusing eh? but it was really fun. reciting as a class, answering the teacher's question in thai.

i'm really bubbling over with excitement! can't wait to leave for thailand.

and theres softball camp this weekend too. some team bonding stuff and loads of pt and training. frowns. it'd be a miracle if i get through that alive. i'm so out of shape. i was grunting through my 40sit ups during training last week. how embarrassing.

oh and i got a job! for this sunday only. haha. there are more vacancies. so if you're interested, let me know.

i got my vaccines done today!!  (: hepA influenza typhoid. and malaria pills. i'm ready for poverty stricken rife with germs khon kean!! need to get insect repellant before i can embrace the six legged creatures that rule the drains and dirty nooks.

softball was sucha muddy affair today. it'd just rained and we were sloshing around in our kleats without socks. cos our socks already got wet on our way to school. training was rather unproductive today. all i got out of it is a few blisters. one is waaay too many already.

i cut my hair. its a different look now.
don't really quite know how to feel about it.
can't be certain if i love it or hate it.
sigh. i hate such ambiguity.

f. sometimes i feel like cutting it all off with a big fat scissors.

my cousins are embarking on their annual pilgrimage to their motherland tomorrow, to pay respects to their king and queen. ok. i mean my uncle and aunt and the tyrannical-stuff himself silly then puke all over the car-daniel. the house will be a lot quieter. delfi won't be sitting by the hifiset singing simple plan songs over and over again, God knows what for. there'll be no one to play double badminton with. ahh dang. what a way to start the hols.

i got my progress report back today. i can't believe my grades. they're totally atrotious. my gp is just horrendously horrifying. its such an embarrassment. my art too. i just want to hide. and die. oh mans. ts really really baaaaad. bad char ):

service+food --> sucked.
the cups smelt like oversteamed green peas. and whenever you press the service button, there'll be this loud rude intruding beep that makes you feel like you're stuck in a clinic waiting for your turn. tres unpleasant.
the waiter and the service button beep seemed to be wired up together in a system or something. cos whenever theres a beep, the waiter frowns and rolls his eyes. which makes me wanna jam the beep button!! beep BEEP BEEEEEP!!!!!! frown FROWN WRINKLES!!!!

after dinner, serr and i went shopping. i tried on this really really short dress. so you're kinda supposed to layer it on top of jeans.  and its cut so deeply that you'll have to wear a tube inside. which will ruin the look of the dress.
so unless i figure out how to wear it nicely, i've to live without it.
plus it costs twohundredbucksplus. ): which is a hefty price to pay for something that i can only hang in my closet.

i serr by chance at the library today. it was so coincidental. i'd decided to wait for bin at the library. i never got to meet bin. shrugs.

pei was right. it really was quite awkward,and uncomfortable. not enough time and the wrong place to readjust into familiar company. she was off to meet michelle.

the writing is quite funny. enjoyed reading about the editor's brief stint as a :popstar: but still fell asleep nevertheless. Understand me! i've softball trainings in the morning nowadays. getting up early+rushing to be on time+training+rush shower in school+pw has taken a toll on me.

i'd my art papers for the past two days. (and bio spa too. but thats not really important to me anymore) art was.. bad. ok. i think i should be able to pass cos i'm not thaat bad. but i kind of disappointed my teacher in the process by not studying for art history. gawwd. i feel guilty as hell. and indirectly, if i'd just gone ahead with doing my final piece on plain white paper like everyone else, i'd have saved my art teachers a great deal of unpleasantness. i'm darn hell upset with myself. for goofing up on art. how can you even muck up something that you like?

anyway, i saw your art proj. it was impressive! the style was you, yet the colour reminded me a little of rons. i was very very taken by the shot at the top left hand corner. where the girl covers half her face. i really liked the silver/white lining on her eye. ( where did y'all take the shots at? ) that pose, face structure and all made it a tat "cultural". you rock :) hmmm. maybe mr foo 'll consider construction paper taxis as a avant garde potrayal of metropolitant life? i hope i'll get to see it. back to the art proj. i waaaant to see your development!! :)

thinking about all the things that happened today makes me want to fall in bed and cry my eyeballs out. right. ok. maybe i'm just wallowing in self pity. anyway, it was a bad day today. i felt so disappointed. i thought my friends and i were going to meet up, and spend the day together. but apparently they'd their own things to do. really important things to do. shrugs. that was really hard to accept since i was looking forward to seeing them.

and watched shrek 2 (like finally) with him. gawd. his brother has this projector(the type that u've in ur class. complete with screen) makes watching tv such a luxury. mans. couldn't help wincing when i was watching city of angels on my puny screen.

met yangs! too :) she hasn't changed one bit. regaling us with tales of her lemon greek hostess. hahha. twas a zoo.
